Ways to develop a good reading habit
Make time for it
Unless you schedule reading time in your busy day , you may not be able to squeeze it anywhere between all other commitments and projects and tasks already crowding the calendar
Even if you can only devote 15 minutes for reading, the time It takes you to commute to work – do put it in your schedule. By doing so assign a sense of importance to it and this will ensure that you are reading with respect rather than ignoring it

Stay away from your phone
Most people have access to instant gratification that you can choose over reading. Most of this gratification are social Media app like Twitter. Instagram. Facebook. YouTube. Reddit. Netflix. It’s difficult to stay away when we feel like we might miss something.
When opening a book, I implore you to separate yourself from the internet. Leave it on the other side of the room. Go outside and don’t bring the phone with you. Go in a different room.
Make Reading Interactive and Fun
Engage them by including interactivity in reading. This might include book discussion, quizzes, role-playing, or even doing artwork inspired by the books that they read. When a student associates fun with reading, he/she is going to embrace reading more.

Set a reading goal
A good idea to motivate yourself to read more is to set a goal. For example, you could set a goal to read a certain number of books this year or a certain number of pages each day and then work on reaching that goal. There are available tools you can use to help you achieve your reading goals
Design your reading area
Something that will help you read more is finding a good place to read. This should preferably be somewhere quiet, without any distractions. You could read in your bed, in a comfortable chair or sofa, on a park bench, and of course — at the library.
